In appreciation of the folks who support and enjoy our community pool, the UVAB along with the City of Leavenworth and the PRSA (Park & Recreation Service Area) will be sponsoring this year's Splash Bash. Other friends helping to sponsor this event include München Haus, Waste Loop, and Thrivent. Please join us at the Howard Hopkins Memorial Pool on August 23, 2025 between 1:00-6:00PM to celebrate another year of summer fun! Locals of all ages are welcome to attend!
We need Grillers, Food Service, Set-up / and Clean-up crews for the Splash Bash. With sponsorship from Waste Loop, we are a "Towards Zero Waste" event this year. Waste Loop has graciously provided compostable ware and utensils for this event, along with Towards Zero Waste disposal stations. We need volunteers for this part as well, as you will see in the Signup Genius.
We have identified 2-hour time slots, so not a huge commitment. The more we have the easier it is for all!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! The Summer Splash Bash will be held again this Summer at the Howard Hopkins Memorial Pool. The event is sponsored by the Upper Valley Aquatics Boosters (UVAB) in partnership with the Upper Valley Parks & Recreation Service Area (PRSA) and the City of Leavenworth. Additional sponsors are Munchen Haus, Waste Loop & Thrivent. Come join us from 1-6pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025 for FREE Food, Fun & Prizes!
The UVAB will need volunteers and/or donors to help with this year's Splash Bash. We need adults who can assist with planning, advertising, soliciting donations or prizes, set-up, games, food-serving, or clean-up. We are currently working on becoming a 501(c) organization (a non-profit group exempt from federal income tax). Until then, we are entering a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement with the Leavenworth Swim Team. This will enable us to accept tax-deductible donations until we have our own 501(c) designation. In the meantime, tax deductible donations can be made by making checks payable to the "Upper Valley Swim Team" with a memo on the check stating, "For the UVAB"

The city implemented a new online system for registering guests this summer. There is a link to the pool's website at the bottom of this page.
Sincere Thanks to Kelly Lemons and her Team who managed and guarded the pool this summer. Although we had a late start to the season, folks in our community had a wonderful time at the pool and appreciate your work!

The UVAB is looking for people who share our mission and are interested in sharing their time or talent. Volunteers will play a vital part in supporting our goal. From "worker bees" who can set up chairs, make calls, help with the Splash Bash, display signs, or distribute pamphlets... to folks with expertise in areas such as leadership, fund raising, grant writing, community outreach, website administration, or just plain giving advice, we want to hear from you.
